Got this when I was building a new PC to replace a five-year-old Ryzen 7 1700X system. The old PC was great performance-wise, I didn't really need to upgrade yet but I was beginning to have crashes periodically ever since moving to dual monitors in late 2020 due to working from home. These were the strangest crashes...no error, no warning, the system would just reboot. It was really annoying, even though with NVMe drives the reboot is quick. It was a mystery whether the problem was caused by the GPU, CPU, memory, the SSD, a driver somewhere, or some combination of all of the above. I figured it was time to pull my system into the modern age with updated interfaces, chip, and motherboard.With GPUs still being ridiculously overpriced, I targeted the Ryzen 7 5700G as a chip that would give me comparable or better performance than my old system but still give me a more modern technology set without needing a GPU. The old PC had an nVidia 1060 but I'd had good luck with its predecessor when I'd run for five years with an AMD A10 APU chip that played games sufficiently well and absolutely manhandled Windows and office apps. But as luck would have it, the 5700G had been dropping in price during my research phase, and right when I went to buy, the price spiked up. Thanks a lot, irrational market!Pondering what to do, I read some comparisons of the 1700X to the 5600G, and the 5600G fared ok. It was close in overall performance and much more efficient and used less power. It did have two fewer cores, but I'm not a streamer or heavy video editor, so I figured I'd give it a crack. Amazon had a third party seller that shipped out of Mexico with the best price...I was a little weirded out by that, but the seller came through and the chip is legit and arrived brand new in box with stock cooler, instructions, and foil badge sticker.You should pair this APU with a good mobo and memory. I chose the MSI B550 MPG Gamer Edge WiFi, and TeamGroup DDR4 3600. The mobo will be critical in determining your possible upgrade paths, and the memory is used by the AMD APUs to help with the graphics. The MSI board will support eventually moving to the 5700G or even 5800 or higher with a GPU.The 5600G installed easily and worked great on first boot. The MSI board supports the 5600G with BIOS version 17 and above and mine came with version 18 installed. So far the system has been stable with none of the weird crashes. I've not pushed the gaming performance yet, just a couple low-demand games. The most visually demanding was Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris...it was sluggish at 4K but fine at 1080 FHD. I'm also running several browser tabs open. The 5600G cost at about $100 less than the what the 5700G was running at the time. So far so good, and I know there are some easy APU/CPU upgrades available in the future but right now I've no need to do so.Update 22-Sep-2022: I am completely despondent now. After running beautifully for two weeks, the random reboots when the system is at idle are now happening to this PC just has it had on my old one. I've read every post I could from others that have had similar issues with Ryzen chips and I'm beginning to think it's a driver issue, but I'm still not 100% sure. This is a nice chip but if it's going to keep crashing I simply can't use it; it's just too maddening to walk away and return a few minutes later and the thing has rebooted. I may have to return the chip or even consider switching to Intel. What a disappointment.Update 24-Sep-2022: Back in action after doing a Windows reset. This is basically reinstalling Windows over your existing install. System is stable again. Very strange. But a few days ago when the issue started it was after I had just gone to the AMD site and installed a bunch of chipset drivers and the Radeon utilities. So I'll stick with the stock drivers Windows installed, and leave the other updates out. The only ones I've applied since getting this PC build are the motherboard BIOS (MSI B550 MPG Gamer Edge WiFi, now currently at BIOS 7C91v1B), various motherboard drivers for the WiFi and Bluetooth, and the MSI Center software so I can easily reference the mobo BIOS and driver versions from Windows. If I get past two weeks without the issue returning then I can say those AMD drivers were likely related, which is unfortunate, if those drivers also bring better performance. But the best feature is stability, so I'll stick with this for now. Also put the star rating to four stars - this is a great performing chip, but that reboot thing is a total bummer when it happens.Update 08-Dec-2022: Running GREAT. Holding back on the drivers was the answer. System is rock solid now, through games, video streaming, and many browser tabs open. Have since run Fallout 4 just fine (it struggled with my dual monitor setup at first, but I think that's a Fallout thing and not the Ryzen chip) at FHD. I regularly put the system to sleep and wake it later; no problems and I'm getting things done at work and play.

Let's be clear: This won't get you all the FPS in Cyberpunk.BUT: For starters or super-budget buyers, for indies or for e-sports titles, this is a bargain and a fantastic starting point.However, KEEP IN MIND TO *ALWAYS* use this with two sticks of ram, minimum. Too many prebuilts have no idea what they're doing and stick an iGPU with a single stick because of "budget reasons", but two sticks of RAM will impact the performance of an iGPU so massively you wouldn't believe. If you don't use two sticks, you might as well be losing half of your potential FPS, or general GPU performance. Two sticks don't go for that much more than a single one, and they're a must have for any iGPU processor.

This processor replaced a Ryzen 3400G from a ITX desktop build for my wife a couple years ago. The great thing about AMD's AM4 platform was the potential to upgrade to better processors as they became available. This is 6 core/ 12 thread processor with integrated graphics. You can play games at lower resolution and get away with it. If you have a dedicated video card already, then go with an X variation which has more on board cache. For me as it was going in an existing motherboard (MSI B450i) I was hoping not to have to reinstall a lot of drivers. Rule one of upgrading make sure the motherboard can support your new processor, you will very likely have to upgrade your bios. If you don't IT WILL NOT WORK! Download and upgrade your bios with your old chip installed. Make sure to put back your settings to the way it was before, flashing a bios sets everything to default. So if your hard drive was in CSM mode and not UEFI it will not boot. Now you can replace the processor and it should boot. I had to do a windows self repair to the wireless and everything was back to normal, well except for the speed improvements!

This is the first graphics card I'm buying for my first PC. I bought it used on Black Friday so it was very affordable. Bought this as a upgrade from a evga geforce gtx 980 SC gpu. Obviously a massive upgrade. The 2070/3070/4070 is the cream of the crop gpu for gaming. I got this card used at a great price from Amazon Warehouse - In "acceptable" condition. It looked far better than acceptable - No dings, dust, fingerprints, scratches, or anything like that. But it did smell a little... well... burned, I guess. So Amazon's grading system is definitely fair/accurate in this case. The smell has pretty much gone away with use, but I do wonder what it was. Maybe run hard for mining or something? I don't know. I was concerned at first, but so far, so good -Card works exactly as expected - cool and quiet, with great 1440p performance well over 100fps+ on every game I tried so far w/out Ray Tracing (and somewhat better ray tracing than people say.) I checked RT with Control and Shadow Of The Tomb Raider and was able to maintain a solid 1440p (no fsr or rsr)frame rate over 60 fps on ultra/very high graphics with Ray Tracing on (but not cranked all the way) in both- no problem. Older games, yes. But that's what I have. I have an older workstation and a 2k 165hz monitor so I don't know how well it does with a newer processor (I'm sure a little better,) or 4k. I would guess many games would run 4k fine, given the stellar 2k performance.The card is BIG- check your measurements and make sure it fits before you buy. It fit in my old HP z440 with no problem, and my 700 watt power supply is definitely enough. Cooling in the case itself not great, but temps stay low on this card anyways. Definitely overbuilt. Also you can turn off the lights with a switch on the GPU, which I did because you can't see them anyways in my case.Very pleased with this card so far, and with Amazon Warehouse. I will edit this later if there are any nasty performance surprises, although I do not expect any.

Okay, my review after owning for a few weeks now.When it’s working it’s a fantastic card. great fps, cool temps, low noise levels… it does have a small very faint coil whine with my 750w psu ( I have to have headphones off and case open to actually hear it) and I have had a string of driver issues related to this card that I wasn’t having with my 6600xt. I’ve used DDU to uninstall all drivers again and physical re installed the card so hopefully that clears everything up…All in all still a fantastic card, looks great, but has some kinks somewhere still for me

This GPU has been fantastic in terms of performance. It is perfect for the 1440p 170hz gaming that I do, and it runs extremely cool and quiet for the amount of power that it consumes. I find that in silent mode, which I use, it pulls about 210 watts at 65c to 70c according to AMD Adrenalin Addition. I can't hear the fans at all, which is fantastic.The one downside that I've found to this GPU is the amount of coil whine. Initially, I was using a Corsair CX600M PSU, which worked to power it and my Ryzen 5 3600, but there was some extreme coil whine coming from both the PSU and the GPU. I upgraded to a Corsair RM850, and I've found that the coil whine is gone from the PSU but that there is still some minor coil whine at the 170hz that I play on. It's quite tolerable though now, and I'm very happy with this GPU otherwise.If you're looking to game at high refresh rates and care a lot about having a very quiet PC, I might consider a lower-power GPU than this one, but otherwise, the GPU has been fantastic. For the $470 that I got it for, it was a great value as well.

Built a computer for my girlfriend for Christmas and with all the gpu prices being crazy I was able to snag this for about $800. The computer runs very smooth and games run well at high refresh rates. Paired it with an i5-2600k cpu. Its a value 3080, it's loud as hell but i wear headphones and my mic is noise canceling. Also my pc sits on the table next to my monitors so if it were under the desk I probably wouldn't hear it as much. Overclocking in minimal on the card as the power delivery system is basic. Other than that I get an average of 90 fps on Forza Horizon 5 at max quality, 1440p. Cod I get 190 fps at competitive quality settings at 1440p, I play DayZ aswell and I get 300 fps at competitive settings.
